Who operates Browse Health Plans

Browse Health Plans is operated by Smart Health Match LLC, an independent health insurance advisory service. Advisory services are provided directly by licensed health insurance advisors. We are not a lead marketplace: we do not sell, resell, or auction consumer information, and each request goes to one licensed advisor.

State licenses

Our advisors hold individual state insurance licenses (life, accident and health). License numbers are provided on request at privacy@browsehealthplans.com and any producer can be verified through the National Insurance Producer Registry or your state's insurance department. Where no advisor in our network is licensed for your state, we tell you so rather than quoting.

Where the prices come from

Marketplace (ACA) plans: the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Qualified Health Plan landscape file for plan year 2026, published on data.healthcare.gov (data snapshot August 4, 2026). It lists every plan sold through HealthCare.gov by county with premiums by age. We age-rate premiums using the federal age curve, or the state's own curve where the file shows one. CMS notes the data may change before Open Enrollment. For states that run their own marketplace, we show a statewide estimate built from the state benchmark premium; your advisor pulls the county-level plans.
Tax credit estimate: household income against the 2025 federal poverty guidelines (which apply to 2026 coverage) and the 2026 applicable percentage table in IRS Revenue Procedure 2025-25. The enhanced credits that applied from 2021 through 2025 expired at the end of 2025. The Marketplace determines your actual credit.
Private plans: carrier rate tables our advisors quote from, by state, age and sex, shown as a starting range. Final pricing depends on the health application, the deductible and network chosen, and the carrier.

How we are paid

Our advisors are compensated by insurance carriers through commissions when a policy is issued. Advice is free to you. Commission rates differ between carriers and products; we will disclose how we are compensated on any plan we recommend.

What we are, and are not

We are not an insurance carrier, and we are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government, the federal Medicare program, HealthCare.gov, or any state marketplace. Marketplace plans and premium tax credits are also available directly at HealthCare.gov or your state's marketplace.
Private plans are not ACA (Marketplace) plans. They are medically underwritten, are not guaranteed issue, may exclude or limit coverage for pre-existing conditions, and are not eligible for premium tax credits. Plan availability and benefits vary by state.
Savings are not guaranteed. Whether a private plan costs less than Marketplace coverage depends on your household, and premiums are set solely by the carrier.
